Check of a mode of idling and the analysis of exhaust gases
6-cylinder engines are supplied by automatic control of frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine in an idling mode.
The adjusting bolt is absent – so even there is nothing to regulate. Frequency of rotation in an idling mode simply check. In correct conditions of check (about it more low) the following indicator of frequency of rotation 680 – 820 rpm (the 2,6-litre engine) or 700 – 800 rpm (the 2,8-litre engine) should be established. Otherwise:

To check up all elements of inlet system (the pipeline, sealing linings) on tightness. Getting not considered air can so strongly to change frequency of rotation in an idling mode that the distributive valve of stabilisation of idling cannot compensate it even.

Check conditions

Conditions of check of frequency of rotation in an idling mode are engine temperature, разогретого to working temperature, and also serviceable systems of injection and ignition.
Further it is necessary to disconnect in the car all consumers of an electricity.
The fan of system of cooling also should not work.
To remove both ventilating pipelines картера, to muffle the ends of hoses.
To switch off the conditioner.
To establish the handle of switching of an automatic transmission in position N or Р.
To warm up to working temperature the engine (temperature of oil a minimum 60С).
The replaceable element of the air filter should be in faultlessly pure condition.

The analysis of the fulfilled gases
In house conditions check of the maintenance WITH usually is not spent, as this procedure is obligatory at passage of annual checkup. Besides, the special device is for this purpose necessary.
It is checked only after system of injection by means of the device of reading of the store V. A. G. 1551 it will be resulted in a so-called substantive provision. That means switching-off of certain adjusting functions (for example, ljambda-regulation) for reception of reasonable comparable sizes.

The measuring device should show 0,15 – 1,0 % CO (the 2,6-litre engine) or 0,3 – 1,2 % WITH (the 2,8-litre engine).

Too high indicator WITH:

Too a fuel high pressure.
The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid is faulty.
Too low indicator WITH:
Not considered air gets to system of giving of air.
